Description
The University of Texas at San Antonio Center for Archaeological Research (CAR) has completed an inventory of human remains and associated funerary objects. The inventory includes remains of at least two individuals and five associated funerary objects, including pot sherds and a projectile point. The remains and objects were commingled in a box donated to CAR in 1979, with origins traced to Georgia. Cultural affiliation has been determined with the Alabama-Coushatta Tribe of Texas and The Muscogee (Creek) Nation. Repatriation may occur on or after May 26, 2026.
