The City of Ames, Iowa is soliciting proposals from qualified and experienced solar photovoltaic firms for the design and installation of roof-mount solar projects at two City-owned facilities: Fitch Family Indoor Aquatic Center and Steven L. Schainker Plaza. The City will own, operate, and maintain the equipment. Firms must demonstrate experience in designing, planning, scheduling, permitting, and constructing complete solar systems, provide project financial analysis and rebate support, system monitoring, and onsite safety standards. The project includes a non-penetrating roof mount system for Site A and a penetrating roof mount for Site B, with the goal to maximize electricity generation using available roof space.
