The U.S. Air Force, through the 42nd Air Base Wing Chaplain Corps and 42nd Contracting Squadron, is seeking specialized restoration services for stained glass at the Faith and Grace chapels on Maxwell Air Force Base. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Air Force, 42nd Air Base Wing Chaplain Corps (42 ABW/HC) - 42nd Contracting Squadron (FA3300 42 CONS CC) - Scope of Work: - Cleaning and restoration of stained glass at both chapels - Removal and reinstallation of existing protective glass layers - Scraping and repainting of steel window frames - Re-glazing and installation of clear Low-E tempered glass with aluminum stops - Caulking and weatherproofing to protect historical stained glass - Coordination with the Chaplain Corps and adherence to base security protocols - Products/Services Requested: - No specific OEMs, vendors, or part numbers are identified - All labor, equipment, and materials for restoration and protection of stained glass - Unique Requirements: - Preservation of historical stained glass - Installation of Low-E tempered glass for enhanced weather protection - Compliance with base access and security procedures - Work must be coordinated with chapel schedules and Chaplain Corps - Place of Performance: - Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama (Faith and Grace Chapels) - Period of Performance: - Work to begin within 60 days of contract award and completed within 60 days of start, unless otherwise approved

Description

The Maxwell Chapel facilities require cleaning and restoration of the stained glass for Faith and Grace chapel in an effort to maintain and uphold the central points of spiritual care to base personnel. This contract covers the cleaning of the stained glass and removal, cleaning, and re-installation of stained glass protective layer for Grace Chapel. This contract covers the removal and cleaning of the stained glass as well as the installation of a glass protective layer for Faith Chapel. Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment and materials to perform the following tasks to complete this Statement of Work.
