The Little Rock School District (LRSD) is seeking proposals for the direct delivery of a wide range of fortified and shelf-stable milk products to its school sites: - Government Buyer: - Little Rock School District, Child Nutrition Department - OEMs and Vendors: - Hiland Dairy (specified as an acceptable brand for most refrigerated milk products) - Marcel's Modern Pantry (specified for shelf-stable milk products) - Approved equals may also be proposed - Products/Services Requested: - Fortified White Lowfat Milk, 1% (Hiland Dairy 9171 or equal), approx. 300,000 units - Fortified White Lowfat Milk, 2% (Hiland Dairy 9168 or equal), approx. 500,000 units - Fortified Chocolate Milk, 1% (Hiland Dairy 9175 or equal), approx. 937,366 units - Fortified Flavored Milk, 1% Vanilla (Hiland Dairy 30353 or equal), approx. 50,000 units - Fortified Flavored Milk, 1% Strawberry (Hiland Dairy 30352 or equal), approx. 50,000 units - Whole White Milk, 3.25% (Hiland Dairy 9165 or equal), approx. 500,000 units - Skim Milk, Fat-Free (Hiland Dairy 9173 or equal), approx. 3,806 units - Lactose Free Whole Milk, 3.25% (Hiland Dairy 24961 or equal), approx. 100 units - Lactose Free 2% Milk (Hiland Dairy 24962 or equal), approx. 200 units - Whole White Milk, Shelf Stable (Marcel's Modern Pantry 10474 or equal), approx. 500,000 units - Chocolate Milk with Straw, Shelf Stable (Marcel's Modern Pantry 10512 or equal), approx. 937,366 units - 1% Low Fat Milk with Straw, Shelf Stable (Marcel's Modern Pantry 10516 or equal), approx. 300,000 units - 2% Reduced Fat Milk, Shelf Stable (Marcel's Modern Pantry 10472 or equal), approx. 500,000 units - Unique or Notable Requirements: - All milk must be fortified with Vitamins A & D, and produced from cows not treated with artificial growth hormones (rBGH/rBST) - Products must comply with FDA standards, Buy American provisions, and Child Nutrition Program requirements - Shelf life requirements: at least 10 days for refrigerated, 12 months for shelf-stable - Packaging: single-service, half-pint paperboard containers for refrigerated; 8 oz containers with screw tops or straws for shelf-stable - Vendors must provide nutritional analysis statements for each item - Award will be made to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder meeting all specifications, with price as a significant factor - Delivery Locations: - Direct delivery to LRSD school sites, with primary address at 1501 Jones Street, Little Rock, AR 72202
