Description
The 39th Contracting Squadron intends to award a sole-source purchase order to Action Target for the Combat Arms Training and Maintenance (CATM) Range Refurbishment.
This acquisition is being pursued on a sole-source basis because the TCT 4 Boom Trap system is a proprietary design of Action Target. Action Target is the only vendor possessing the requisite technical knowledge and access to the government-approved OEM parts necessary to restore the range to operational safety.
Furthermore, Action Target is the sole entity authorized to perform maintenance on the equipment they originally installed in 2008 from Contract No. W912L7-06-F-0119. The use of non-OEM parts or the employment of unauthorized contractors to perform labor on the range will result in the voiding of critical system safety certifications.
