The Defense Health Agency (DHA), Healthcare Contracting Division Southeast, is seeking a sole source provider for cable television and internet (cable modem) services at Naval Hospital Beaufort and Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD) Parris Island, South Carolina. - Government Buyer: - Defense Health Agency (DHA), Healthcare Contracting Division Southeast - OEM and Vendor: - Sparklight (Cable One, Inc.) is the sole source provider identified for this requirement - Products and Services Requested: - Cable Television Service - 107 total service connections across multiple facility addresses (e.g., 1, 12, 14, 15, 148 Pinckney Blvd, 68 Alaska St - Bldg 674) - Cable Modem (Internet) Service - Includes all necessary equipment and materials: wiring, modems, cable boxes - Non-personal services: all personnel, equipment, supplies, supervision, and other items required for service - Emergent service response: outages must be addressed within 2-4 hours, both during and after normal hours - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Sole source justification: Sparklight is the only responsible source able to provide these services at the specified federal facilities - Services must meet a 95% quality performance standard - All installation and maintenance at fixed government locations - Contract supports mission-critical communications for patients, families, and staff - Locations: - Naval Hospital Beaufort (Beaufort, SC) - Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island (Beaufort, SC) - Multiple specific facility addresses within Beaufort, SC - Period of Performance: - Base year plus four 12-month option years and a final 6-month option period (total potential duration: 5.5 years)

Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the  format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. For Informational Purposes Only - Sole Source Requirement. This solicitation is being posted in  accordance with FAR 5.102(a)(1). The Government intends to award a sole source contract to  Sparklight Hargray Communication Group, Inc. and is not seeking competitive proposals.

The Defense Health Agency Contracting Activity Healthcare Contracting Division, Southeast (DHACA-HCD-SE), plans to award a firm fixed price sole source contract to Sparklight, which is part  of Cable One (formerly Sparklight Hargray Communications Group, Inc.) This acquisition is being  conducted under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only One  Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements" as  Sparklight is the only responsible source that can provide Cable TV and Cable Modern Services at  Naval Hospital Beaufort, Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island (MCRD).  See attached supporting documentation for more detailed information.
