Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs requires a Nutrition and Food Service Management System to support clinical nutrition, food production, and patient meal service operations across multiple VA Medical Centers.

The system shall support the following core capabilities:

Management of food service operations, including menu development, recipe standardization, and production planning Clinical nutrition management, including patient diet orders, allergies, and meal planning Nutritional analysis and compliance with applicable food safety standards Patient-specific dietary management, including meal tracking and specialized nutrition support Integration with existing VA clinical and administrative systems to enable real-time exchange of    patient data Secure system operation in accordance with VA IT and cybersecurity requirement Multi-site deployment capability to support enterprise-wide operations
