(OEM and vendor) - Products/Services Requested: - 28 units of 2 Way, 540 g Solenoid Valves (Flight Valves) - No part numbers provided - Description: Flight certified, uniquely qualified, and currently in stock at Marotta Controls - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Sole source justification: Only Marotta Controls can meet NASA's technical and delivery requirements - Valves are required to support the KSC 90-Day Challenge projects: Dust Tolerant Automated Umbilical (DTAU) and Lunar Electrostatic Discharge and Dust Mitigation (LEDM) - Valves must be flight certified and available for rapid delivery (approximate lead time: 2 weeks) - NASA invites capability statements from other vendors, but intends to proceed with Marotta Controls unless a viable alternative is identified

Description

NASA/KSC has a requirement for (28 - Flight Valves) 2 Way, 540 g Solenoid Valves.

NASA/KSC intends to issue a sole source purchse order to acquire 2 Way, 540 g Solenoid Valves from Marotta Controls under the authority of FAR 6.103-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.

The Government intends to acquire a commercial product or service using FAR Part 12.

Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort electronically via email to kodi.d.coles@nasa.gov not later than Eastern Standard Time on May 6, 2026. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct this acquisition on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
