The U.S. Air Force at Joint Base Charleston is soliciting quotes for the purchase and delivery of one new Industrial Can Densifier to support the 437th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Air Force, Air Mobility Command (AMC), 437th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron (AMXS), 628th Contracting Squadron (CONS) - Product Requested: - One (1) Industrial Can Densifier (also referred to as Can Crusher) - Must feature an automatic ejection system or integrated outfeed conveyor - Capable of processing tin-plated steel cans (approx. 4" x 5.5", 0.2 lbs each) at a minimum rate of 800 cans per hour - Compatible with 208-240V or 440-480V, 3-Phase, 60 Hz power - Includes a feed hopper (minimum 8 cubic feet), integrated liquid containment system, and dimensions around 90" L x 40" W x 60" H - Must include a minimum 6-month manufacturer's warranty on parts and labor - Services Required: - Delivery, offload, and complete assembly of the unit at 300 North Graves, Bldg. 74, Charleston AFB - Initial operator training on safe and efficient usage - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Offerors must provide technical literature demonstrating compliance with the salient characteristics - Technical compliance is prioritized over price in evaluation - Delivery required within 14 weeks after order - The requiring unit is responsible for site preparation and final installation - No specific OEM or vendor is named; opportunity is open to qualified manufacturers meeting the requirements
Description
The Department of the Air Force, Joint Base Charleston, is issuing this Request for Quote (RFQ) to procure one (1) new Industrial Can Densifier in support of the 437th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron (437 AMXS).
Offerors must submit technical literature (e.g., product brochures, specification sheets, or detailed product descriptions) that clearly demonstrates the quoted product meets or exceeds all minimum requirements outlined in Attachment 1 - Salient Characteristics. Please refer to FAR 52.212-1 and FAR 52.212-2 within the attached SF 1449 for complete submission instructions and the specific evaluation criteria that will be used to determine the best value to the Government.
