This opportunity is for a sole source contract with Tecan U.S., Inc. to provide annual preventive maintenance and support services for Tecan Plate Washers at CDC laboratories in Atlanta, Georgia. - The contract covers three Tecan Plate Washer Instrument Sunrise units (SN 1404001455, 1404001456, 2306009526). - Services include lamp and filter replacement, operational quality checks, system diagnostics, calibration, repairs, part replacements, and comprehensive service reporting. - All work must be performed by factory-trained, OEM-certified Tecan technicians using proprietary software and tools. - The contract period is June 1, 2026 to May 31, 2030, with a base year and three one-year option periods. - The estimated contract value is $46,582.51. - Strict information security, privacy, and regulatory compliance requirements apply. - The procurement is justified as sole source due to proprietary software, integration with CDC processes, and regulatory needs; only Tecan U.S., Inc. is considered capable. - Place of performance is CDC laboratories in Atlanta, Georgia.

Description

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to Tecan U.S., Inc for Tecan Plate Washer Annual Maintenance. Vendor is fully capable of providing lamp replacement, operational quality checks, and calibration by trained providers. Due to proprietary software and integration of software into existing laboratory processess. This contract action is for services which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (SAP). See note below

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency within 5 of days of the issuance of this notice shall be considered by the government.  A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.  Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.  Any quotation/response should be emailed to Shamike Bethea, Contract Specialist at xrm1@cdc.gov / 04/29/2026, 3:00pm EST.
