The Department of the Navy, through the Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NAVSEA), is soliciting a firm fixed price contract for the rental of a temporary water chiller to support the Nuclear Power Training Unit (NPTU) in Goose Creek, South Carolina. - Government Buyer: - Department of the Navy, Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Nuclear Power Training Unit (NPTU) - Products/Services Requested: - Rental of an MTS 701 temporary chiller (minimum 150 Ton capacity, air-cooled) - Must operate on 460/480V, 400 Amp breaker - Features required: male 500 mcm Camlock electrical connection, single circulating pump, dual 2-1/2" Male NPT inlets/outlets with isolation globe valves, electronic monitoring system (inlet/outlet temperatures and flow rates), operational pressure gauges, forklift slots - Includes instruction manual and start-up training for government personnel - Equipment delivery, setup, assembly (if required), and removal at no cost to the government - Preventative maintenance and repair services during rental, with 4-hour service response time - Option for monthly rental extensions beyond the base period - Quantities: - 1 water chiller unit (base period) - 1 option for additional one-month rental - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Chiller must meet specific technical and operational requirements (see above) - Contractor must provide start-up training and all associated travel costs - All maintenance, repairs, and replacements due to normal wear and tear are included - Service representative must be dispatched within 4 hours of notification for repairs - Award will be made on a lowest price technically acceptable basis - OEMs/Vendors: - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation or attachments - Place of Performance: - Nuclear Power Training Unit (NPTU), Goose Creek, SC - Contracting office: Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, VA
