FEMA Region 10, under the Department of Homeland Security, is seeking professional written translation and desktop publishing services to support disaster recovery communications for Presidentially Declared Disaster 4893-AK (Typhoon Halong) in Alaska. - Government Buyer: - Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Region 10 - Offices: Mitigation Contract Section, FEMA Alaska Area Office, FEMA Region 10 Contracting Office (Bothell, WA), FEMA Region 10 Disaster Contracting Office (Anchorage, AK) - Products/Services Requested: - Written translation services between English and Central Alaskan Yup'ik - Up to 550 hours per period (base and one 90-day option period) - Includes translation, proofreading, quality assurance, and document formatting (desktop publishing) - Compliance with Section 508 accessibility standards - At least two qualified translators required - Prioritization of local hiring within the disaster area - Rapid response (within 2 hours), confidentiality, and culturally appropriate translations - Part Numbers and Quantities: - Written Translation Services: Part Number 7540-01-152-8067, 550 hours (base period), 550 hours (option period) - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Vendors must primarily reside in the affected disaster area (DR-4893-AK) - Active registration in SAM.gov required - Services must be accurate, culturally appropriate, and delivered rapidly - Section 508 compliance for accessibility - No specific OEMs or commercial vendors are named in the solicitation.

Description

The Federal Emergency Management Agency, Region 10, Presidentially Declared Disaster 4893-AK is seeking qualified vendors to provide written translation services and desktop publishing from English to Central Alaskan Yup'ik, as described in the attached Performance Work Statement. 

This opportunity is set-aside for vendors who primarily reside in the affected areas of DR-4893-AK, Typhoon Halong. Affected locations are listed in the request for quotation.   If no qualified and responsible vendors within the declared disaster area respond to this RFQ, all qualifed and responsible vendors will be considered. All vendors must be registered for "All Awards" in the System for Award Management (SAM.gov) and their registration must be Active.
