NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Puget Sound is issuing a sole-source, firm-fixed-price procurement for OEM Viking Life-Saving Equipment life rafts to support the USS JOHN CANLEY (ESB-6): - Government Buyer: - U.S. Navy, NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Puget Sound (FISCPS) - OEM Highlight: - Viking Life-Saving Equipment is the sole OEM specified and the only acceptable source due to form, fit, and function requirements - Products Requested: - 30 units: 25-person Overthrow Type Life Rafts (P/N L025D02715NE70) - 2 units: 25-person Davit-Launched Type Life Rafts (P/N L025DF1415AE70) - 2 units: 10-person Overthrow Type Life Rafts (P/N L010D02715NE70) - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Life rafts must be direct OEM replacements for existing equipment on the ESB vessel - No alternatives or substitutions are technically acceptable - Critical safety equipment for at-sea operations - Delivery Location: - Military Sealift Command BATS, San Diego, CA - Contract Type & Evaluation: - Firm-fixed-price supply contract - Price reasonableness and past performance will be evaluated

Description

Fleet Logistics Center Puget Sound (FLCPS) intends to solici and award a firm-fixed-price Supply-type Purchase Order for OEM Viking Life-Saving Equipment Life Rafts for an ESB Type Vessel.

This requirement is sole sourced to Viking Life-Saving Equipment due to being direct replacement parts in terms of form, fit and function with existing equipment and configurations. The life rafts are critical to safety of life at sea, and procuring alternatives is not technically acceptable. Interested companies may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, which will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determinatino not to compete this action based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. 

The Government will evaluate the offeror’s price for reasonableness and past performance as part of the responsibility determination in accordance with RFO 12.203.
