Description
The purpose of this acquisition is to procure the services necessary to complete the work required, including the full conservation and regilding of four (4) monumental equestrian bronze sculptures. Work includes comprehensive bronze conservation treatment; application of 30-gram, 23.75 karat gold leaf; cleaning and repair of associated granite plinths; installation of scaffold and containment systems, environmental protection measures; and full documentation of treatment activities. All work shall comply with the Secretary of the Interior¿s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, tools, supervision, and any other items necessary to complete the construction work at the four statues located in Washington, D.C.
