This opportunity seeks a qualified contractor for a major design-build project at the VA Southern Oregon Rehabilitation Center and Clinics (SORCC) in White City, Oregon. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District (KO Contracting Division), in partnership with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the VA SORCC facility. - Scope of Work: - Design and construction of two new buildings (B300 Support Building and B301 Primary and Specialty Care Building), three new connecting corridors, and a new surface parking lot. - Demolition of approximately 310,000 GSF of existing buildings and corridors, phased renovation of select buildings, and construction of three new buildings (B300, B301, B302) totaling 340,360 GSF. - Construction of three new parking lots, increasing parking by 85 spaces. - Seismic upgrades and retrofits to address life safety and continuity of care for veterans. - Utility upgrades, environmental and cultural resource protections, and historic preservation requirements. - Products and Equipment: - Mechanical/electrical equipment for stormwater pump stations, including: - Ebara 150DLKFMU611 submersible pumps (2 units, 15 HP, 1050 GPM) - Val-Matic Swing-Flex check valves - Romac Alpha FC restrained flanged couplings - Romtec Utilities stormwater pump station assemblies - SJE-Rhombus MegaMaster control switches - Primex DPC-4F duplex pump controller - Hoffman Concept wall-mount enclosure - Ingram SunBurst II LED alarm light, piezo sound alarm, anti-condensation heater, thermostats - ENM T50 Series electronic hour meter - Square D SDSA3650 surge protective device - Schneider Electric circuit breakers - Macromatic ISD Series intrinsically safe relay - Extensive medical, dental, and office equipment and furnishings (e.g., hand sanitizer dispensers, conference tables, lockers, medical analyzers, dental equipment, IT systems, and more) with detailed part numbers and quantities. - Services: - Comprehensive design-build services for demolition, sitework, construction, and commissioning. - Preventative maintenance, extended construction warranty, asbestos removal, partnering facilitation, schedule incentives, and enhanced air filtration (UV-C fixtures for HVAC). - Specialized roles required: Partnering Facilitator, Site Safety and Health Officer, Fire Protection QC Specialist. - Unique/Notable Requirements: - LEED Silver certification for sustainability. - Detailed quality control, safety, environmental, and schedule management. - Coordination with VA leadership and adherence to VA Technical Information Library (TIL) guidelines. - Phased construction to ensure uninterrupted care for veterans. - Small business subcontracting plans and past performance documentation required. - Place of Performance: - All work is at the VA SORCC, 8495 Crater Lake Highway, White City, Oregon 97503. - Contracting office is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District, Portland, OR.
