Description
The Province is seeking a qualified archaeological contractor to provide services supporting infrastructure deactivation works along a 67 km segment of the Kettle Valley Rail Trail between Princeton and Brodie Siding Road. The work area involves complex Indigenous interests, multiple watersheds, terrain features, and infrastructure types, with a deactivation program estimated over $19 million. Services are required before and during construction to comply with the Heritage Conservation Act and minimize delays from archaeological discoveries. The contract includes an option to renew for four additional 12-month terms, with pricing adjustments limited to the Canadian Consumer Price Index or 2%, whichever is lower.
