This opportunity is for Forest Investment Program–funded silviculture surveys and planting development services for previously free growing blocks impacted by wildfire within the Selkirk Resource District, covering approximately 2,600 hectares primarily within the Kootenay Lake and Arrow TSAs. The contractor will assess current stocking status and forest cover conditions, identify areas not satisfactorily restocked or suitable for planting, delineate and layout treatment areas, develop planting prescriptions based on climate-based seed transfer guidelines, and calculate seedling quantities for nursery ordering. Deliverables include field surveys, spatial data development, operational planting layout, prescription preparation signed by a Qualified Forest Professional, and submission of digital deliverables to update RESULTS and support program implementation. The contract duration is 12 months.
