BRIEF SCOPE OF WORK (This is for information only)

GENERAL PURPOSE / OBJECTIVE: Eastern Oklahoma VA Health Care System (EOVAHCS) requires a contractor to provide all tools, labor, and material for safely lowering two existing hydraulic elevators in the A-Wing of the facility. Elevators are to be lowered to a level that the elevator pit is still accessible, but that the elevator cabs are securely supported so all oil lines can be safely disconnected and all hydraulic fluids removed and properly disposed. Copies of all records documenting the proper hydraulic fluid disposal in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations shall be provided to the facility. The contractor shall fulfil the requirements of this statement of work in a cost effective, efficient, and safe manner, while in accordance with the VA Mission.

BACKGROUND: A facility in Tulsa, Oklahoma, is currently being renovated for the purpose of being used as the new James Mountain Inhofe, VA Medical Center (VAMC). The facility will need the abandoned elevators lowered and hydraulic fluid removed and recycled to minimize risks associated with the abandoned equipment. Documentation of proper recycling shall be submitted to the COR.

LOCATION: The James Mountain Inhofe VA Medical Center located at 440 S. Houston Ave, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74127.
