NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE:
The Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Program Contracting Activity (PCAC) intends to negotiate on a sole-source basis with Industrial Maintenance Services Inc., a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), for construction services for ERHM Infrastructure Upgrades at the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center (VAMC) located in Iron Mountain, Michigan. This project will upgrade the facility s electric infrastructure to allow the server room to be protected on the critical power branch by integrating a new Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) through an existing Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS). The project aims to enhance power reliability and ensure continuous operation of critical systems during power disruptions.
The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 236220 with a small business size standard of $45 million.
The authority for restricting competition on this requirement is 38 U.S.C. 8127(c), known as the Veterans First Contracting Program, which provides the authority to directly contract with an SDVOSB or a VOSB. The decision to make a sole-source award is a business decision wholly within the discretion of the Government.
