The Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD), under the Department of the Navy, is seeking industry input for engineering support services related to RENK reduction gear systems used in US Navy vessels. - Government Buyer: - Department of Defense, Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) - OEM Highlight: - RENK is the sole Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) referenced for the reduction gear models - Products/Services Requested: - Lifecycle, modernization, and in-service engineering support for RENK reduction gear models: - BUSL 261 - ASL 2/160 - BOS 156 - ASL 95 - Services include: - Technical issue resolution and engineering investigations - Logistics support (manuals, configuration management, provisioning) - Product improvements and new technology development - Fleet and depot support (including field technical service and maintenance planning) - Support for government testing and test equipment maintenance - Software maintenance and configuration control for RENK MRG systems - Program management (contract execution, reporting, and communication) - Unique Requirements: - Key personnel must meet specified qualifications for engineering and technical support - Estimated travel includes up to 12 trips to both CONUS and OCONUS locations (e.g., San Diego, Mayport, Bahrain, Singapore) - Support covers both hardware and software aspects of RENK reduction gear systems - No specific part numbers or purchase quantities are provided in the notice

Description

This Requeste for Information (RFI) notice is being issued by the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD). The Government is seeking information regarding the procurement services for lifecycle, modernization and in-service support for the RENK BUSL 261, ASL 2/160, BOS 156, and ASL 95 reduction gear models and their related shipboard auxiliary systems. Specifications are listed in the attached RFI Notice and Statement of Work (SOW). 

SUBMISSION OF RESPONSES: Respondents shall provide capability statements with specific information regarding their ability to provide the required services. 

NSWCPD will only accept unclassified, electronic submissions. Responses shall be submitted via email to jenny.e.tomeo.civ@us.navy.mil by 06:00PM EST, 06 May 2026.

Responses shall list "N64498-26-RFPREQ-PD-42-0117" in the subject line. No phone calls shall be accepted.

This notice is for market research purposes only and does NOT constitute a Request for Proposal. This notice shall not be construed as a contract, a promise to contract, or as a commitment of any kind by the Government. The Government is NOT seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals. This notice is issued solely for conducting market research in accordance with FAR Part 10 and gathering information for planning purposes.

Government WILL NOT PAY for any information received, and the Government will not compensate the respondent for any cost incurred in developing the response to this notice. The Government will not release any information marked with a proprietary legend received in response to this notice to any firms, agencies or individuals outside the Government without written permission in accordance with the legend.
