Pitt Community College is seeking a qualified contractor to replace and install new fire alarm systems across multiple campus buildings in Winterville, NC. - Government Buyer: - Pitt Community College, Office of Facilities and Construction - OEMs and Vendors: - Johnson Controls (JCI) / Simplex is specified as the preferred brand alternate for fire alarm equipment - Alternate brands may be considered if they meet all performance standards and are approved by the owner - Products/Services Requested: - Replacement and installation of addressable fire alarm systems in the following buildings: - AB Whitley - Leslie - Whichard - Greenville Center Annex - Vernon White - Law Enforcement Training (LET) - Key equipment includes: - JCI/Simplex 4007ES addressable fire alarm control panels - JCI/Simplex 4606 Series remote annunciators - Smoke detectors, heat detectors, duct detectors, pull stations, control modules, monitor modules, isolation modules - Notification appliances (horn/strobe, strobe only) - Fire alarm termination cabinets - All wiring, circuits, and accessories for a UL listed system - Unique or Notable Requirements: - All labor, materials, and equipment must be provided by the contractor - Demolition of existing fire alarm systems only after new systems are tested and operational - Coordination with mechanical systems for duct detectors and AHU shutdowns - Protection and restoration of existing finishes - Compliance with all applicable codes and statutes - Contractor must hold appropriate North Carolina General Contractor or Electrical Unlimited licenses - Performance and payment bonds are required for the full contract value - Minority business participation is required - Lump sum contract; sealed bids only (no electronic submissions) - Pre-bid meeting will be held to review project specifics and preferred brand alternates - Complete plans and specifications are available from Salas O'Brien (designer)
