The City of Weyburn is seeking a Prime Consultant Architect to lead the design and construction oversight for a new indoor Aquatics Centre at the Weyburn Leisure Centre. - Government Buyer: - City of Weyburn, Saskatchewan - Scope of Work: - Prime Consultant Architect to provide comprehensive architectural and engineering design services for a new indoor aquatic facility - Coordination of all design disciplines (acoustics, aquatics, building code, cost, civil, electrical, mechanical, structural, landscaping, and others) - Preparation of construction-ready drawings and documents - Construction administration, commissioning, and one-year post-occupancy warranty support - Stakeholder engagement and collaboration with consultants (e.g., geotechnical engineers, commissioning agents, legal advisors) - Coordination of furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) design and procurement - Integration with SaskTel Wi-Fi, compatibility with existing AV and security systems - Obtain all necessary permits and approvals - Products/Services Requested: - Architectural and engineering design services (no specific OEMs or part numbers) - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Experience in aquatics and recreation facility design - Sustainable and community-focused design expertise - Quality management, cost control, and schedule adherence - Construction must not interrupt the 2028 Summer Games events - Coordination with multiple consultants and stakeholders - Estimated Construction Budget: - Approximately $25 million CAD - Period of Performance: - Project initiation and planning in 2026, design completion by 2027, construction from 2027 to 2029, and closeout in 2030, including a one-year warranty period
