U.S. Navy Sole Source Procurement of Trident Maritime Joiner Doors for USNS SACAGAWEA

• Unique or Notable Requirements

  • All doors must be direct replacements, matching form, fit, and function of existing equipment
  • Compliance with ABS (American Bureau of Shipping) and SOLAS (Safety of Life at Sea) regulations is mandatory
  • Delivery is FOB destination to Military Sealift Command BATS, San Diego, CA
  • Evaluation criteria include price reasonableness and past performance

Description

NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Puget Sound (FLCPS) intends to solicit for various joiner doors.

This requirement is sole sourced to OEM Trident Maritime Systems due to the only responsible source able to provide direct replacements in terms of form, fit, and function with existing equipment and configurations compliant with ABS and SOLAS regulations. Interested companies may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, which will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination not to compete this action based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.  

The Government will evaluate the offeror’s price for reasonableness and past performance as part of the responsibility determination in accordance with RFO 12.203.
