NASA is seeking small business vendors to provide rough machining services for REDSoX front and rear spider components in support of the Marshall Space Flight Center ST12 project. - Government Buyer: - National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) - NASA Shared Services Center (NSSC), Stennis Space Center, MS - Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC), ST12 project - Products/Services Requested: - Machining of REDSoX front and rear spider parts - 2 units: RDSX-102-001 Front Aperture (machined from customer-supplied 17-4 PH stainless steel) - 2 units: RDSX-154 Rear Aperture (machined from customer-supplied 17-4 PH stainless steel) - Technical and Quality Requirements: - Adherence to geometric dimensions and tolerances per customer-supplied drawings - Stress relief heat treatment per SAE AMS2759/11 - Surface roughness of 125uin/3.2um Ra - Bag and tag packaging for each part - Provision of certification and certificates - Inspection requirements as specified - Notable Requirements: - Set aside for small businesses - Delivery FOB Destination to NASA Shared Services Center, Stennis Space Center, MS - Completion required within 35 business days from award to meet project launch schedule - No specific OEMs or commercial vendors are named; all machining is to be performed to NASA-supplied specifications.
