The City of Franklin, Tennessee is seeking bids for the construction of sidewalks and a multi-use path along Lewisburg Pike (SR-106), from north of Stewart Street to east of Collins' Farm. - Scope of Work: - Construction of sidewalks on both sides of Lewisburg Pike (SR-106) and a multi-use path - Installation of concrete curb and gutter, drainage improvements, and concrete flatwork - Asphalt paving, temporary traffic control, and permanent signage - Utility relocations (water, sewer, gas, electric, communications) and coordination with utility providers - Erosion prevention and sediment control (EPSC) measures, including silt fencing, sediment tubes, and stormwater management - Pavement markings and striping, including thermoplastic and plastic markings - Landscaping, seeding, sodding, and restoration - Products and Materials: - Extensive list of construction materials and components, including concrete, asphalt, aggregates, pipes (concrete, DIP, PVC, HDPE), valves, fire hydrants, manholes, catch basins, fencing, signage, and electrical conduit - Detailed line items with part numbers and quantities (e.g., 9,310 SF concrete sidewalk, 547 tons asphalt mix, 1,146 LF 12" DIP water line, 2 fire hydrant assemblies, 2,200 SY sodding) - Services: - Gas line work to be performed by an Atmos Energy-approved subcontractor - Utility record drawings and project contingency fund included - Unique Requirements: - Compliance with Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) standards and City of Franklin specifications - Strict adherence to environmental permits, stormwater management, and spill prevention - Coordination with multiple utility providers and staged construction phases - Contractor licensing, non-discrimination, and other state law certifications required - Liquidated damages for late completion and bonuses for early completion - No specific OEMs or proprietary products are named; the opportunity is open to qualified general contractors and utility construction firms.
