STATEMENT OF NEED

GENERAL: C. W. Bill Young (Bay Pines) VAHCS 10000 Bay Pines Blvd, Bay Pines, Florida 33744, has a requirement for the Business Office Service, Medical Records Scanning section to increase productivity and relieve a scanning backlog. BACKGROUND: The C.W. Bill Young has a requirement to reduce scanning backlog (Action Item) PURPOSE: Scanners will connect to VA Workstations and connects to VA VISTA software to accommodate the scanning of patient medical records.. These records include Community care exams, other VA s medical records, and are a crucial component in delivering patient care. SCOPE: C. W. Bill Young (Bay Pines) is requesting contractors provide brand name or equal equipment that meets or exceed the physical, functional and performance of the listed salient characteristics in this section. The equipment feature is essential to the technical requirements to meet the need of the government.
