Description
This final rule removes the Department of Housing and Urban Development's (HUD) regulations for the Shelter Plus Care and Supportive Housing Programs from the Code of Federal Regulations. These programs were consolidated and replaced by the Continuum of Care (CoC) Program following the enactment of the Homeless Emergency Assistance and Rapid Transition to Housing Act of 2009 (HEARTH Act). The rule eliminates outdated regulations and cross-references, reflecting the consolidation of these programs into the CoC program. The effective date of this rule is May 20, 2026.
