Description
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) published a direct final rule updating the mandatory safety standard for infant and cradle swings. This update incorporates by reference the revised voluntary standard ASTM F2088-25, replacing the previous ASTM F2088-24. The revised standard includes clarifications on scope and terminology, new testing requirements, and updated marking and labeling to address suffocation hazards. The rule is effective July 25, 2026, unless significant adverse comments are received by May 20, 2026.
