SUNY Stony Brook is seeking qualified consultants for design services to renovate a 2,530 sq. ft. meeting space on the 2nd floor of Nobel Hall into a modern Esports Facility. - Scope of Work: - Architectural and engineering design for space renovation - Significant electrical engineering: under carpet power for gaming stations, replacement of damaged floor box covers, re-lamping of approximately 85 light fixtures, installation of new LED light strips and controls - Addition of conduit pathways for IT data and integration with A/V and IT systems - Coordination with the University's A/V vendor and in-house IT department - Compliance with New York State Codes, NYStretch Energy Code, State University Construction Fund Directives, and Executive Order 22 - Business Participation Goals: - Minority-Owned Business Enterprises (MBE): 16% - Women-Owned Business Enterprises (WBE): 14% - Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses (SDVOB): 6% - Vendor Pool: - Numerous New York State certified M/WBE and SDVOB architectural, engineering, and consulting firms are eligible - Unique Requirements: - Construction will be performed by in-house or state-contracted vendors; this solicitation is for design and consulting services only - Construction administration services are billed hourly as requested - No specific OEMs, part numbers, or product quantities are specified - Place of Performance: - Nobel Hall, Stony Brook University, 100 Nicolls Road, Stony Brook, NY 11794
