This opportunity seeks experienced engineering consulting firms to provide professional services for the Employee-Only Orange Show Entrance Project at the San Bernardino Municipal Water Department's Water Reclamation Plant (WRP). - Government Buyer: - San Bernardino Municipal Water Department (SBMWD), Water Reclamation Plant, City of San Bernardino - Scope of Work: - Planning, preliminary and final engineering design, permitting support, and engineering services during construction (ESDC) for a new dedicated employee-only entrance to the WRP - Site evaluation, traffic and access analysis, coordination with regulatory agencies, preparation of construction documents, and record drawings - Support during bidding and construction phases - Project Objectives & Requirements: - Reduce congestion at the existing Chandler Place entrance - Preserve space for future process areas - Design entrance geometry to prevent vehicle queuing onto public roads and ensure safe vehicle turnaround - Comply with city signage and ADA requirements - Right-of-way improvements: ramps, light poles, sidewalks, landscaping, and irrigation - Consultant must be a California Registered Professional Engineer and DIR Registered - Minimum 10 years of experience in traffic engineering and municipal infrastructure required - Coordination with city departments and regulatory agencies is mandatory - Department will provide and install certain security equipment; consultant will design supporting infrastructure - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or product manufacturers are named; opportunity is open to qualified engineering consulting firms - Notable Requirements: - Compliance with Department of Industrial Relations monitoring - No fee increases in the first 24 months; maximum 3% annual increase thereafter - Proposals must demonstrate relevant experience and qualifications
