This opportunity seeks qualified contractors to provide comprehensive building maintenance, alterations, and repair services for the United Independent School District (UISD) in Laredo, Texas. - Government Buyer: - United Independent School District (UISD), Laredo, TX - Scope of Work: - District-wide on-site building maintenance, alterations, and repairs - Tasks include: - Replacing door closers, stoppers, and locks - Repairing or replacing ceiling tiles, VCT flooring, and wood boards - Painting interior/exterior doors, offices, hallways, classrooms, and ramps - Repairing or replacing windows, blinds, mirrors, countertops, towel dispensers, and bulletin/white boards - Installing hardware cloth and skirting to prevent animal entry - Repairing/maintaining fences, gates, and flag pole winches - Repainting parking lot lanes and replacing parking signs - Roof shingle replacement and preventive measures against bird nesting - Insurance Requirements: - Contractors must provide commercial general liability, auto liability, umbrella liability, workers' compensation, and employers liability coverage - UISD must be named as an additional insured - Contract Structure: - Initial term of 12 months, with up to three annual renewals (total up to 36 months) - Work orders performed during or after school hours as directed - Vendor Requirements: - Open to all qualified contractors; no specific OEMs or brands mandated - Submission of compliance forms (criminal history, conflict of interest, W-9, felony conviction notification, etc.) - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Emphasis on rapid turnaround and competitive pricing - Preventive measures for animal and bird control in facilities - Insurance endorsements and compliance documentation required
