Iowa State University is seeking contractors to remove and replace acoustical ceilings in Parks Library on its Ames, Iowa campus. - Government Buyer: - Iowa State University of Science and Technology (ISU), including Procurement Services and Facilities Planning & Management - OEMs and Vendors: - USG (United States Gypsum Company): Halcyon ceiling tiles (part numbers: 97221, 97241, 97363), MS164 shadow molding trim, DX/DXL exposed tee grid - Gordon, Inc.: CWA-3-75 column ring trim - SherwinWilliams: Pro Industrial High Performance Acrylic paint, Harmony Low Odor Latex B9W951 Series paint - Products/Services Requested: - Removal and replacement of existing 12" x 12" acoustical concealed spline ceiling tiles and gypsum board substrate - Installation of new metal grid and acoustical lay-in tiles (USG Halcyon series) - Installation of wall shadow molding trim (USG MS164) and column ring trim (Gordon CWA-3-75) - Painting of metal grid and gypsum board to match existing finishes (SherwinWilliams products) - Cleaning and repair of air handling units (AHU5 and AHU6) and associated ductwork - Notable Requirements: - Work covers multiple floors of Parks Library, with detailed reflected ceiling plans for each - Includes alternates for additional ceiling work, such as new metal tees at soffit intersections, painting or replacing shadow trim, and new column ring trim - Contractors must provide performance and payment bonds for projects exceeding $25,000 - Mandatory pre-bid meeting and site visit required - Project schedule is coordinated with concurrent air handling unit and ductwork cleaning - Compliance with ISU's construction and general terms and conditions is required

Iowa State University is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors to remove and replace selected sections of the acoustical ceiling in Parks Library. The project includes removal of existing ceiling tiles and gypsum board substrate, installation of new metal grid and acoustical tiles, and associated finishing work.
