The Government of Ontario is seeking up to fourteen Medium Category Helicopters equipped with belly tanks and Transport Canada approved Supplemental Type Certificates to support wildland fire suppression activities primarily in Ontario during the fire seasons of 2026 and 2027, with options to extend. Each helicopter will be assigned to a main base and may be repositioned within Ontario or to other Canadian provinces or U.S. states as needed under mutual aid agreements. The services include insertion and extraction of fire suppression personnel, water-bombing, slinging operations, aerial reconnaissance, and other fire fighting support activities. This procurement is a multi-lot project with fourteen lots corresponding to different main bases across Ontario.
