The Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Division, Keyport, under the Department of the Navy (NAVSEA), is seeking information from industry regarding the installation of additional crane rail cross bracing at its facility. - Government Buyer: - Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Division, Keyport (Department of the Navy, NAVSEA) - Scope of Work: - Installation of additional bracing for crane rails in Building 514 - Relocation of existing high pressure air lines and electrical lines - Welding of new gussets and plate stiffeners - Attachment of new bolted cross bracing to gussets - Runway rail survey and related construction work - Provision of all labor, materials, and equipment - Materials and Requirements: - All materials must be new and U.S.-manufactured (steel, bolts, weld filler, high-pressure air tubing) - Strict adherence to safety, environmental, and quality control regulations - Compliance with Operations Security (OPSEC) requirements per NAVSEA OPSEC Guide for Defense Contractors - Coordination with the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) required - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the notice - Purpose: - This is a sources sought notice for market research only; it is not a solicitation or request for proposals

Requisition Number: RFISS-166- Install Crane Rail Cross Bracing In Building

Synopsis:

The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Keyport is issuing this sources sought notice as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having the resources and interest in the installation of additional bracing of crane rails in a building.  The project will require the contractor to relocate existing utilities and weld additional bracing to the crane rails.

The Contractor shall provide labor, materials, and equipment, as required, to accomplish the following work in accordance with the statements here and attached Draft Statement of Work (SOW).

1. Relocate existing high pressure air lines and electrical lines as needed to accommodate the additional bracing.

2. Weld new gussets and plate stiffeners,

3. Attach new bolted cross bracing to the gussets.

This request for capability information does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP); submission of any information in response to this announcement is purely voluntary and the Government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred.
