The USDA Forest Service is seeking specialized timber marking and cruising services for the Bobcat sale area within the Ottawa National Forest, Michigan. - Government Buyer: - USDA Forest Service, National Stewardship Team IRSC, Stewardship Contracting Branch - Contracting office located at 1400 Independence Ave. SW, MS-1138, Washington, DC - Services Requested: - Timber marking and cruising across approximately 554 acres, divided into: - 414 acres of hardwood single-tree selection (Payment Units 02-07, 12-14) - 18 acres of red pine commercial thinning (Payment Unit 10) - 122 acres of clearcut/removal cut (Payment Units 01, 08-09, 11) - Contractor must use the Sample Tree Cruising Method and GPS all sample trees - Compliance with the Timber Theft Prevention Plan is required - All labor, materials, equipment, and supervision must be provided by the contractor - Eligibility and Notable Requirements: - Only Region 9 timber mark and cruise BPA holders are eligible to submit offers - Offers from vendors without a BPA will not be considered - Place of Performance: - Ottawa National Forest, primarily in Gogebic County and Watersmeet, Michigan - Period of Performance: - Work must be completed by the contract due date, with a term ending November 30, 2026 - Work may occur in summer and/or winter, subject to weather conditions - No specific OEMs, products, or part numbers are referenced; this is a service-based procurement
