Description

The Grays Harbor and Chehalis River Federal Navigation Channel is located in Grays Harbor County on the southwest coast of Washington State. The navigation channel traverses the harbor to provide safe navigation and wide turning areas for large ships while they traverse Grays Harbor from the Pacific Ocean to the Port of Grays Harbor and local facilities at the cities of Aberdeen, Hoquiam, and Cosmopolis. To maintain the navigability in the project, the recommended plan consists of maintenance dredging annually from the navigation channel over a fifteen-year period of 2018 through 2033.
