VESSEL CHARTER SERVICEPre-solicitation notice:The Department of the Interior (DOI), United States Geological Survey (USGS), Pacific Coastal Marine Science Center seeks to acquire vessel charter to support the collection of long sediment cores via a Jumbo Piston Corer, Vibra Corer, and sub-bottom seismic data collection. NAICS Code: 483113, Coastal and Great Lakes Freight Transportation with associated Size Standard 800.PSC Code: V124, Transportation/Travel/Relocation - Transportation: Marine Charter.This acquisition is set aside for small businesses. Subject to availability of funds. The anticipated award will be for a Firm, Fixed Price contract with Period of Performance from September 1, 2026 to October 30, 2026. The solicitation package will include the Solicitation Forms (SF1449), Statement of Work and other attachments as required. Solicitation 140G0326Q0094 will be made available through SAM.gov on or about April 29, 2026, IAW FAR 5.102(a)(1). We intend to award a firm, fixed price order as described above in accordance with the procedures of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 (Acquisition of Commercial Products and Commercial Services), with deviations implemented under the Revolutionary FAR Overhaul (RFO) as of March 2026.This notice and any resulting solicitation or contract conforms to the requirements in place through FAC 2026-01, effective 13 March 2026. Prospective contractors are not required to respond to this pre-solicitation notice.
