NIST is seeking an ASME "R" stamp qualified contractor for critical boiler repairs and fuel tank cleaning at its Gaithersburg, Maryland campus (Building 302). - Government Buyer: - National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Operations Engineering Group, OFPM - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; Yarway is referenced for blowdown valves - Products/Services Requested: - Boiler repair and welding services (ASME "R" stamp qualification required) - Replacement of water column piping on boilers #1-4 with new schedule 80 pipe, valves, and fittings - Replacement of four Yarway boiler blowdown valves on boilers #5 and #6 - Fuel tank cleaning and filtering - Cleaning, biocide treatment, and filtering of eight 30,000-gallon diesel fuel tanks - Addition of fuel stabilizer and water removal - Safety plan development and training (OSHA compliant) - Badging and security compliance (HSPD-12 requirements) - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Contractor must hold ASME "R" stamp and welding certifications - Safety plans, training, and PPE required - Compliance with federal badging and security protocols - Period of Performance: - 220 days from Notice to Proceed, with possible extensions at no additional cost - Place of Performance: - Building 302, NIST Gaithersburg Campus, Gaithersburg, MD
