The U.S. Department of State, through the U.S. Embassy Bogota's General Services Office, is soliciting contractors for a comprehensive electrical safety upgrade at the Chief of Mission Residence (CMR) in Bogota, Colombia. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Department of State, U.S. Embassy Bogota, General Services Office (GSO) - OEMs and Vendors: - Schneider Electric is specified as the OEM for the Main Distribution Board and circuit breakers - Products and Equipment Requested: - 208V Main Distribution Board (self-supporting metallic cabinet, IP44) with Schneider Electric circuit breakers and Class I+II surge protective device (quantity: 1) - Ladder-type trays (60 cm x 8 cm x 3, quantity: 5; 30 cm x 8 cm x 3, quantity: 3) - Various electrical cables (#6 AWG, #8 AWG, #10 AWG, #12 AWG, 2/0 AWG, 500 kcmil, etc.) - Tinned lugs, tubular splices, gel connectors, nuts, washers, bolts, anchors, cable ties, heat shrink tubing, tapes, and other electrical installation hardware - Reinforced concrete pedestals (quantity: 2) - Services Requested: - Relocation of the Main Distribution Panel (MDP) - Installation of transfer switch panels and auxiliary panels - Reorganization and upgrade of existing electrical wiring - Installation of surge protection devices - Testing, commissioning, documentation, training, and warranty - Unique or Notable Requirements: - All work must comply with Colombian RETIE 2024, NTC 2050, U.S. National Electrical Code (NEC), and OBO standards - Delivery is DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) to the Embassy warehouse in Bogota - Minimum one-year warranty on all work and materials - Project must be completed with minimal disruption to embassy operations - Includes design approval, schedule, and training for embassy staff

Description

It is required the relocation of the Main Distribution Panel (MDP), installation of the transfer switch panel(s) and other auxiliary panels, as well as the reorganization of existing electrical wiring, to modernize the facilities, improve wiring organization, increase technical safety, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide an efficient and safe electrical distribution.
