Aircraft Repair, Modification, and Integration Support for U.S. Navy VXS-1 King Air 350ER Fleet

The U.S. Navy's Naval Research Laboratory (NRL), through its Scientific Development Squadron ONE (VXS-1), is seeking contractor support for specialized aircraft services: - Aircraft Repair, Modification Oversight, and Integration Management Support for two King Air 350 Extended Range (KA350ER) aircraft - Includes restoring aircraft to baseline airworthy condition - Installation of Science & Technology (S&T) modifications per Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs) - Structural and system repairs, antenna installations, and mission system integration - Ongoing maintenance, configuration management, and regulatory compliance - Option periods for additional modification and management support for up to two more aircraft - Notable requirements: - Installation of extra large belly radome, belly rails and hard points, antenna relocations, extended nose, special mission alternator, DC power distribution, wing pylons and racks, STC stores approval, Starlink antenna, and TACAN installation - Comprehensive program management and technical oversight - No specific OEMs or part numbers are listed, but the King Air 350ER is manufactured by Textron Aviation (Beechcraft) - Place of performance is Naval Air Station Patuxent River, MD, with contracting managed by the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, D.C.

Description

The U.S. Department of Navy, Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) Contracting Division intends to enter into a sole source contract with 3RGI in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 for the award of Aircraft Repair, Modification Oversight, and Integration Management Support to aircraft currently in possesion of the incumbent Contractor.

This is a special notice prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 5.2, Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions. A solicitation will not be posted; however, any firm that believes it can meet this requirement may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within the closing day and time of this announcement. Any submitted capability statement, proposal, quotation, or supporting evidence must be in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement. Responses received shall be considered by the agency; however, a determination by the Government to compete the proposed procurement based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
