Description
Glencoe Mill, LLC has filed an application to surrender its exemption from licensing for the Glencoe Mill Project No. 7404 located on the Haw River in Alamance County, North Carolina. The project has not operated for three years and is no longer financially feasible to repair or operate. The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission intends to prepare an Environmental Assessment (EA) under the National Environmental Policy Act to evaluate the environmental impacts of this action. The EA is planned to be issued by September 14, 2026, and will be open for a 30-day public comment period.
