Description
The Maritime Administration (MARAD) announces the availability of the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for the ST LNG Deepwater Port Development Project. This project involves the ownership, construction, operation, and eventual decommissioning of a deepwater port terminal located approximately 10.4 nautical miles offshore Matagorda, Texas, capable of exporting up to 8.4 million tons per annum of liquefied natural gas. MARAD is requesting public comments and participation and has scheduled an informational open house and public meeting to discuss the DEIS. Comments must be submitted within 45 days after the Environmental Protection Agency publishes its notice of availability of the DEIS.
