Description
Sabine Pass Liquefaction, LLC (SPL) has filed an application with the Department of Energy requesting blanket authorization to export liquefied natural gas (LNG) previously imported into the United States. The authorization would allow SPL to export up to 500 billion cubic feet of natural gas equivalent over a two-year period to non-Free Trade Agreement countries on a short-term basis. The exports would be from the existing Sabine Pass LNG terminal in Louisiana. Comments and interventions on this application are due by May 18, 2026.
