Sierra County is inviting bids for the repair of storm-damaged embankment systems and roadway shoulders on County Road 490, Brandy City Road, located approximately 3.6 miles northeast from its intersection with Highway 49. The project includes construction surveying, clearing and grubbing, slope excavation and grading, roadway reconstruction, shotcrete retaining wall construction, erosion and water pollution control, biological monitoring, traffic maintenance, and disposal of surplus excavated material. Bids are due by April 17, 2026, and the work must be completed within 90 calendar days after the notice to proceed. Contractors must possess a General Class A contractor's license or applicable specialty license and comply with prevailing wage requirements.
