All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary; the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. Not responding to this Sources Sought does not preclude participation in any future RFP or RFQ, if any is issued.
2. BACKGROUND & REQUIREMENT DESCRIPTION The 7th Contracting Squadron is conducting market research to identify potential sources capable of providing a Mobile Fuel Bowser. The Government is seeking to determine if there are sources capable of satisfying this requirement, including small businesses, before determining the method of acquisition and issuance of a solicitation.
The Mobile Fuel Bowser must meet the following minimum salient characteristics:
• Dual axel w/electric brakes • Trailer mounted • Towable at highway speeds • Heavy Duty for off road and remote use • No special driver certification requirements • Electric trailer jack • Safety tow chains • Adjustable height hitch • DOT trailer Lighting • 500 Gallon capacity with internally baffled fuel tank • Fuel level gauge • Diesel driven fuel pump with electric start • Mechanical fuel dispensing meter • 1” x 50' DIESEL fuel heel w/ high flow swivel & nozzle • 50' static discharge reel • Work Lights • Solar battery charger • Spill containment kit • Lockable cabinets for security • Filtration • Weather resistant • Air Compressor with hose and reel Delivery Location: Dyess AFB, Tx 79607
