Cossitt Library in Granby, Connecticut. - Government Buyer: - Town of Granby, Connecticut (Granby Public Library, F.H. Cossitt Library Branch) - Project Scope: - Phase 1 – Part 3: Exterior repairs below the clerestory of the historic library - Removal of deteriorated paint and sealants from wood siding, trim, and architectural elements - Replacement of damaged or missing wood elements with matching species and profiles - Application of primer and paint (Sherwin Williams Emerald Exterior Primer and paint specified) - Installation of Sikaflex-15LM polyurethane sealant and Sonofoam closed cell backer rod at joints and gaps - Repair or replacement of displaced, damaged, or missing bricks at the base of the wall - Repair or replacement of decorative cast iron grills on vent openings - Installation of new 20 oz copper gutters and downspouts at the north portion of the east elevation - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or manufacturers are mandated for the main work - Architectural Preservation Studio, DPC referenced as the preparer of the condition assessment and drawings - Sherwin Williams (paint), Sika (sealant), and Sonofoam (backer rod) are referenced for materials - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Strict adherence to the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties and Connecticut State building codes - Lead-safe work practices required - Contractors must demonstrate experience in historic preservation projects and provide references - Insurance requirements include $1,000,000 errors and omissions coverage - Open to MBEs/WBEs/SBEs; compliance with municipal, state, and federal AA and EEO requirements - Work to be coordinated with the Director of Library Services and Director of Public Works - Location: - F.H.
