NOAA is seeking contractor support for advanced Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) optical surveys of Atlantic sea scallops in the Mid-Atlantic Bight. - Government Buyer: - National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Northeast Fisheries Science Center (NEFSC), Ecosystems Surveys Branch - Western Acquisition Division, Seattle-SAP - OEMs and Vendors: - Tethys-class Long Range AUV (LRAUV) (OEM: Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute (MBARI)) - NEFSC Autonomous Benthic Imaging System (ABIS) - Products/Services Requested: - Deployment of Tethys-class LRAUVs integrated with NEFSC's ABIS optical payload - Part Number: Tethys-class LRAUV with NEFSC ABIS - Capable of collecting at least 200 nautical miles of optical data - Endurance of 5+ days, operational up to 200m depth, compatible with HabCam Survey data - Non-personal services for: - Pre-mission preparation and communication - Mobilization, deployment, data acquisition, retrieval, and demobilization of AUVs - Data delivery with metadata - Final report summarizing missions, including maps, plots, and statistics - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Contractor must have prior experience with NEFSC ABIS and Tethys-class LRAUVs - Use of government-furnished property (encrypted hard drives, optical payloads) - Data delivery and final report deadlines are specified - Work to be performed in the Mid-Atlantic Bight region - Place of Performance and Delivery: - Northeast Fisheries Science Center, 166 Water St, Woods Hole, MA - Western Acquisition Division, 7600 Sand Point Way NE, Seattle, WA
