Parks Canada Agency is undertaking a full-scale rehabilitation of Mountain Avenue, the only road connecting the Town of Banff to the Sulphur Mountain area within Banff National Park. The project involves construction activities along approximately 2.7 km of roadway, including asphalt removal and rehabilitation, roadway widening, paving, drainage and culvert upgrades, and installation of sidewalks and retaining walls. This is the second stage of a two-stage solicitation process, inviting qualified suppliers to submit further qualifications and financial bids. The contract duration is estimated at 8 months, starting around January 30, 2026.
