The USDA Agricultural Research Service (ARS) Invasive Plant Research Lab (IPRL) is seeking a contractor to replace and reseal impact-resistant glasshouse panels at its quarantine facility in Davie/Fort Lauderdale, FL. - Government Buyer: - United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Invasive Plant Research Lab (IPRL) - Contracting office: Acquisition and Property Division, Beltsville, MD - Products/Services Requested: - Replacement and resealing of flawed or damaged impact-resistant glasshouse panels - At least 7 double-paned, gas-filled, tempered glass panels meeting Miami-Dade hurricane impact resistance standards - NSN 7540-01-152-8067 for quarantine glass panels (quantity: 1 line item for replacement and sealing) - Sealant for refurbishing all exterior impact-resistant windows and panels - Inspection of all glass panels for damage or lost integrity - Implementation of strict biocontainment protocols during all work - Labor and materials for glass panel replacement and resealing - Unique/Notable Requirements: - All work must comply with Miami-Dade hurricane impact resistance standards - Strict biocontainment protocols must be followed to prevent escape of insects and plants - Contractor personnel require biocontainment training and must adhere to safety and access restrictions - Firm fixed price contract, awarded to the lowest priced technically acceptable offeror - Payment and performance bonds required if contract exceeds $35,000 - Place of Performance: - USDA ARS Invasive Plant Research Lab, 3225 College Avenue, Davie/Fort Lauderdale, FL 33314 - Contracting office: 5601 Sunnyside Avenue, Beltsville, MD 20705

Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are being requested, and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 1232SA26Q0460 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). 

United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Invasive Plant Research Lab (IPRL), has a requirement to replace flawed/damaged impact-resistant glasshouse panels and re-sealing all panels. See attached Statement of Work for a complete description of requirements.

This acquisition is set-aside for small business concerns. This solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses by reference. The full text of provisions and clauses may be accessed electronically at www.acquisition.gov.

The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 238150 The small business size standard is $19M This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency.
