This notice announces the Department of Justice's intent to award a sole source contract for security screening equipment and related services at a USAO facility in Charleston, SC. - Sole source procurement to Point Security, Inc. - Equipment to be provided: - Smiths Detection SDX6040 X-Ray Screening System with required features and software options - CEIA HIPE/PZ-PLUS-0989 Walk Through Metal Detector - CEIA PD240 Handheld Metal Detector - Services include: - Uncrating, inspection, moving, and installation of new equipment - Removal and disposal of existing Rapiscan 618XR-G X-Ray machine - Calibration, certification, and operational training for staff - Equipment is for a federal facility (USAO) in Charleston, SC - OEMs involved: Smiths Detection, CEIA, and Rapiscan (existing equipment) - No recurring or option years; work to be completed upon delivery

Description

The Executive Office for United States Attorneys (EOUSA) intends to solicit and award a Purchase Order to Point Security, Inc, PO Box 100, Linwood, NC 27299, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. 

The EOUSA anticipates award of a contract, on a sole source basis, to Point Security to provide a Smiths Detection SDX6040 X-Ray screening system and CEIA HIPE/PZ-PLUS-0989 Walk Through Metal Detector, and CEIA PD240 Handheld Metal Detector for use in USAO facility, located in Charleston, SC.  The HI-SCAN6040C shall have the standard features:  Hi-SPOT – Auto Dense Area Detection, HiTraX- Image Enhancement Functions and a 24” Flat Panel Monitor.  The HI-SCAN6040i shall also include the following Options: Software Package – HI-TIP-Plus, OTS Xtrain, IMS, Opti-ZOOM, HDA, X-Plore, SEN.  Upon delivery of the unit, vendor shall uncrate, inspect for damage, move to the screening location, dispose all packing material, and remove and dispose of the existing Rapiscan 618XR-G X-Ray machine.  Installation of the new unit shall be in its final position for operation and all accessories attached.  The vendor shall conduct standard calibration and certification of the unit and provide a copy of the paperwork to the EOUSA POC and provide training on the proper operation and usage to JPSO Security Officers assigned at time of delivery and additional EOUSA representatives as may be available. The anticipated delivery date is on or before June 2026.

This notice is not a request for competitive quotations.  A Request for Quote will not be available for this requirement.  The intent of this solicitation is for informational purposes only.  However, any information received within five days after the date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government.
